Youth Group

We have two groups where our children can be involved. These are all voluntary and children can give as little or as much of their time as they like.

Youth Commitee

Our Youth Commitee is new to our Youth Group, funded through the UKSPF, our aim is to get a broad representation from across the club covering all ages. Lets face it, our under 7's teams wont want to be doing the same activities as our U14's and probably have way more energy !

So, it's important that extra activities and events cater for all ages. This group is currently being set up and we would love you children to be involved.

Young Volunteers

Our group of young volunteers is open to anyone between 11 and 15 years old, some play for the Club, some don't even like football! They are a part of the Club that we really can't do without.

You could find yourself:

  • volunteering at our school holiday camps
  • helping out on activity days
  • helping with fundraising
  • sharing ideas about what you'd like to see the Club do
  • working alongside the young committee
  • training and awareness sessions
  • engage in programmes with eternal partners e.g. North Tyneside Council Young Commissioners

Our Youth Commitee and Young Volunteers are a key part of the club.

What's in it for you?

When you become a young volunteer, we encourage you to take some training courses with us (all free). You will also get a free hoodie and New Fordley Juniors goodie bag.

We cover things like:

  • Awareness session for example autism awareness, gambling, knife crime etc.
  • Fully supported and funded places to gain your referee badges.
  • Accredited Training - food hygiene, health and safety, first aid

By helping us out you'll make new friends, spend time with old ones, and learn new skills which will look great on your cv when time comes to apply for jobs or uni. And they're the skills which employers really value - commitment to your local community, loyalty, showing up on team, being willing to turn your hand to just about anything.

Plus it's fun! Really, it is!

And at the end of the season you get a beautiful certificate to take home with you and celebrate your success at our annual awards ceremony,
