Walking Football

Leading the pathway into men's football, our over 50s walking football is our most recently established adults team. Over the past few weeks we have had a few more women join the team which is amazing to see and we ill be looking to enter the walking football league very soon.

New to the New Fordley repertoire, walking football has been a fantastic introduction to the club. For those that still fancy a kick about but with a different take.

Training at the welfare in summer and Goals in winter, this is a great way to get fit and have a bit banter; who doesn't love a post footy pint (or whatever your tipple)?

We have watched this grow from just 4 players in the first week, to curiosity getting the better of people who now come down to join in.

The game is competitive and most definitely not as easy as you think!

We have already had interest from Age UK coming along to see what it's about. Not to mention, Walking football has been widely publicised to have great benefits to those with Parkinsons.

Still curious? Why not give it a go. If nothing else, it's a great way to stay active.

We cannot wait to see this develop into yet another great team within the New Fordley Family.
