Provision for children with Special Educational Needs (SEND)

We have started looking into Story Boards and Visual aids to help our children and families who may need further support when accessing our facilities.

This page will be a work in progress and through our awareness sessions offered to everyone we can only hope to improve this page.

Most recently we held an awareness session with The Toby Henderson Trust which was very informative to our young people, coaches, committee and parents.

Any suggestions for improving this page, would be most welcomed.

Good News Stories

"After 18 months of being out of mainstream school due to school refusal, anxiety and transitions and change our daughter is finally planning her first steps back into an educational setting relevant to supporting her and her own needs.

This would not have been possible without the support from our amazing club, they have allowed her to be herself, to stretch her own boundaries, to laugh to cry but most of all be herself.

Childrens mental health is huge and families go through so much heartache finding answers and support. Without the support from everyone involved and our external partners our daughter may not have even been here today to celebrate her achievements.

The future is bright, the future is New Fordley Juniors."

"The staff are so friendly and inclusive.

My daughter is autistic and struggled with new or unknown places but the staff were so patient with her and would interest her in activities and crafts that that she loves.

They were supportive when she has to wear her ear defenders when it gets too noisy and she would have a big smile when I went to pick her up.

It’s sometimes difficult to feel confident in leaving her places but I feel completely relaxed knowing she is always included and in a supportive environment."
